Pineberries
I’m not easily surprised when it comes to food, but these not only caught my eye, but also had me wondering if I had missed something all my life. Before you try to check your memory to see if you’ve ever seen these let me help you out. The odds are that no, you haven’t.
These strawberry-like berries were “re-launched” by Waitrose last April after near extension
According to the Guardian‘s review from last year they’re not all that great, but I still think they’re cute.
I’m curious and would love to try them, even if they’re supposed to taste like watered down pineapples. I’d love to know if I could get my hand on these in the US.
Daily Fact
At “Learn Something New Every Day” you get to do just that. Every day brings a new and very random fact in a cute bright colored background. Here are some of my recent favorites:
You can email fact@learnsomethingeveryday.co.uk if you feel you have a fact that’s worth appearing on the page. If they think it’s worth it too you’ll get a free poster with your quote on it.
News Things
I don’t have time for an actual post today but here’s some random news for the day, and I promise no Michael Jackson:
Mini Adventures
I love the idea for this iphone application for the iPhone. It is called Openness and encourages users to be open about new activities and explore new things. It is bases in the UK and is for those users that want to do new things, especially in the current friendly weather.
The mechanism is pretty straightforward. Select your location, decide how much open-minded you are and then shake to be surprised by MINI. You might end up with a recommendation for a Body Detox Clinic or if you luckier you could receive directions to a Mexican wrestling match with fetish cabaret. Whatever the hint, rest assured the experience will be definitely off-beat.
This is the kind of thing I say I’d always want to be able to have, but I always live in the wrong city. Now, I live in the right city , but don’t have the right phone.
Come on! It should be for everyone. Or just Blackberrys (I’m selfish. so what)

I wish I’d invented these.
These are amazing. they’re exactly what you really want when leaving a club at 3 am (other than a hamburger/pizza/gyro). These Rollasole ballet slippers are the perfect way to get down from your heels and go home. I’m super picky about taking of my shoes, and while I see some people step down from their stilettos and onto the sticky/gooey/dirty ground i can’t help but be disgusted. These shoes definitely solve the problem. Right now they are only being sold in vending machines at certain clubs in London. I looked at the list and I doubt I’ll be going to any of those anytime soon. Haven’t even heard of them. Every girl should have the right to buy one of this. Hopefully, I’ll see them before I leave and they’ll be stateside by next year.
Congrats Rollasole! Love the idea.
